This card has a dark gray base. I embossed the blue layer with the argyle, Cuttlebug, embossing template. I used one of the Bazzill stitching templates for the skull and cut around the edge. The flower on the skull is a brad by Making Memories. Last but not least, I used a thick wavy black ribbon and a bright green ribbon.
The Guitar July 30, 2010
This is the card I made for my husband for Father’s day this year. He loves to play the guitar. I haven’t done a ton of masculine cards, but it was fun to experiment. The size is a 5.5 in square. I adhered 3 sides of the card leaving the top open. Inside is a piece of white cardstock at 5.25 in that can be pulled out and includes a message. I used the Indie Art, Cricut cartridge, for the guitar. The paper is by Sandylion and the wings are stamps.
Smack July 29, 2010
I made this card using my Cricut, Indie Art cartridge. The base of the card is black cardstock. The white cardstock is embossed using a Cuttlebug, argyle, embossing template.
Scottie Dog Card July 27, 2010
The Scottie Dog card was made using light gray cardstock as a base. I stamped a scottie on white cardstock and cut around the edge. I used a stripped patterned paper by American Crafts. I used a border punch to make the black cardstock strip at the bottom. And a piece of black ribbon from Michael’s above the patterned paper.
12th birthday
We went ice skating for my daughters 12th birthday on Sunday. It was so fun! We had an awesome day together as a family. Some close family friends met us at the ice rink and hung out with us for a few hours. My 5 year old was crazy on the ice! He is fearless. I think he needs to play ice hockey someday.
It was 106 degrees outside, inside we needed jeans and a sweater. As soon as we were done we stripped down in the car back to our shorts, t-shirts and flip flops. I love the cold! I guess Arizona was a bad move for us. Although, I grew up in California, so I don’t know real “cold”. The fall through spring is great here.
Edward and Bella Card July 15, 2010
More stamps from The Greeting Farm. This time I used a light blue-green, lime green, and charcoal gray.
Girls Are Pirates Too July 14, 2010
Red and black again. I Love the whole Pirate thing. I embossed the rose using fired brick, Tim Holtz Distress Powder.
Girlie Card July 8, 2010
Another card from a group I made for my niece. All red and black cards. The stamp is from The greeting Farm. Love it!
toothless July 4, 2010
I love this page! My daughter had both of her 2 front teeth pulled on the same day. Gotta love that smile. I used a Paper Crush kit for this layout. I love kits sometimes, they really take the guesswork out of matching patterns and colors.
